The sun is shinning!

Thank you all for your wonderful comments about our “little movie”. I had fun making it and Adam is glad that it’s done so I’ll stop bugging him about it. :0)

The sun is shinning real bright and it’s a great day! Adam has every other Friday off from the VFW, so today was spent doing nothing. And boy, did that nothing feel good. Okay, well, with 5 children, ~ one still nursing, two of them still in diapers, three of them not able to pour things for them selves, four of them not able to cook for them selves, and five of them not totally trustworthy to be left completely to their own devices ~ a person can’t really do “nothing”, but you know what I mean.

It took me a week, but I have everyone’s Easter clothes cut out and ready to be made. My mother-in-law bought us (the girls and I) enough material so we could all have matching dresses. It’s been a long time since we all had those. The material is light green with small flowers in the same green and cream. I happened to have a green sheet (it’s new and the best way to get cheap material. For $3, you can get a flat twin sheet and get several things out of it.) that matched the material perfectly, so I’m using it to have contrasting color in the dresses. Isaac asked to have a new shirt and pants, and while I said no to the pants, I cut him and Malachi out a shirt in that solid green sheet. I then cut out a jumper for Nathaniel out of that same green (I’m not mean enough to put my boys in flowers, okay?). Although Adam put a kink in it and said that the solid green is to “girly” and refused my offer to make him a shirt too. Oh well. His loss, right? I mean, what man wouldn‘t jump at the chance to wear the same color his entire family is wearing?

I have about 4 weeks left until Easter. Can I get this all done? Oh yeah, I also have a baby blanket to make by mid-March, school to teach, a house to clean, meals to prepare, doctor appointments to get to, clothes to wash….

Ahhh, it feels good to be back!
