Well, it’s official

It has happened folks. It has finally happened. Who would have know this day would come a year ago, 6 months ago, 1 month ago or even 2 weeks ago? I’ve been ready for it to happen for weeks, but the other one has not been. Now he is ready and so here we go! What am I talking about?

This:

I am so excited! Last time we moved, we had 2 children and I was 5 months along with the 3rd one (Isaac). Now we have 5 children and ???? But now comes the hard part. Waiting. I truly, truly believe that God wants us to move and so I believe that He will sell this house. For I can put a sign up and advertise to my hearts content, but I can’t sell this house. Only He can. And He will, in His timing. It’s at times like these that I wish He would tell me something like “by Sept. 13, your house will be sold”. You know what I mean? But, He doesn’t and I don’t know “when” anything. And so I wait. Hopefully as patiently as I can.

One the other side, we have already found a house that we like. But, as I mentioned before, Adam is not ready to make an offer of that one. Mostly because we will offer $15,000 less than the asking price. And since it would be contingent on us selling our house first, he doesn’t think the owner would be willing to take it.

I sure do wish there was a way we could buy that other house, work on (for it needs A LOT of work! All plaster and lath … again. Yeah!) while living here and sell our house at the same time. Then when the work is finished, move us in. But I really don’t think there is any way we can swing both mortgage payments for an indefinite time period. Who knows how long our house will be on the market? My friends house has been for sale for 2 years now. I really don’t believe that ours will be that long because I really believe God want us to move. Still, I don’t think it would be a very wise decision. And we have excellent credit, so there is no way we will “give this house to the bank” as many people are these days (including before-mentioned friend). Besides, I don’t think that’s a very honest thing to do anyway.

Something else has joined our family recently. Can you guess? No? (No, it’s not a baby!)Yes, you are correct. That is a 15 passenger van, thank you very much! Nice, huh? We aren’t using it for the moment. Although this Mama would really like to because of the added space, it’s just not very practical at the moment because we still fit in the mini-van (which you can see on the other side of the “big” van. It really does look “mini” doesn’t it?). However, when we do move, we will probably register and license it then so we can use it to haul stuff.

And, last but not least, another day has finally come. And boy! has it been long in coming! We’ve been storing up for it, though. We have lots and lots and lots of “stuff” for it and it will be so nice when all is done and cleaned up and out. This is another “addition” to our yard that was here by 7:15 AM this morning, but it will only be resting here for a week (which is fine by me. Because once it’s served it’s purpose, it’s “outa’ here!”).

I’ve also been toying with the idea of having a separate blog for our moving/renovation adventures. What do ya’ think?

So … anyone want to move to Crandon? Anyone?
