After a relatively short haul (with LONG hours and much work!), the kitchen is done! The inspector was here yesterday and we passed!!! Dewings Catering & Confections is now officially opened for business! We will have our Grande Opening on May 8.
I know that most of you can’t come, but will you please keep us in prayer? Specifically that God will send us the business we need to bring Adam home (which is our goal in the first place). We don’t know if it will be sooner than later, but we trust Him to make it clear to us what the next step will be.
This has been a dream of mine since high school. Adam and I have prayed and talked about having our own business since before we were married. It’s been a long time coming, but I am so thankful to Him for providing this for us! God is so good!! He has not only allowed us to do this, but He has also provided the funds to do so. That means that all the money we have invested into the creating of this kitchen, the many different items that are needed to cook, the paying of the licensing…everything and anything that we had to pay for, God provided the money so we are not in debt AT ALL!!! The next time someone tells you “no one can live on 1 income in today’s society”, you point them our way. We’ll show them how and by Whom!
I can’t praise His name enough!! I want the whole world to know how good He is and what great things He does for His people!!! Just so you know, though, this is not because of anything Adam or I have done. We don’t deserve this great thing He has done for us. So why did He do it? Because He loves to give. Because He is good. Because He is love. Period. And we will strive to conduct our business according to His ways, just as we do in our personal lives. He made this happen. To God be the glory!
