Glitter

I like glitter. I think it’s pretty. But I don’t like the mess that it makes. I suppose you could call me “border line neat-freak”, but I don’t particularly care for that title, so lets just stick to “someone who likes things clean and tidy”. K?

Anyway, glitter doesn’t really fit in to that “clean and tidy” thing. But I am striving to become more of a “yes” Mom instead of a “no” Mom (within reason, of course). So I said “yes” to glitter today.

And snow flakes…..and more snow flakes. (alright, alright I cheated. I used printed-out diagrams. I’m okay with this.)P1130087

I know. I’m living dangerously these days. Two little iddy-biddy pieces kind-of art projects in one day. I took a deep breath, got all the supplies together and watched my children have fun with it all. I had some fun myself, as well.

See how nice and glittery our front door looks? And the “windows” between our dining room and living room look quite festive.

And the beam between the dinning room and kitchen was not forgotten, either.

We don’t decorate for Christmas (or for any holiday, really), but I like to decorate with small things for every season. And these sparkly snowflakes make for a good one for Winter, I think.

Perhaps you noticed the new “ticker” under Damaris. Yes, we are expecting again! We all are very excited!! The baby is due sometime mid-August. I have my 1st ultra-sound Dec. 14. I’m looking forward to it!
