Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Week!

And we have a winner! Heidi, #31, who said “My favorite part of Christmas is wrapping presents. My daughter and I turn up the Christmas music, get a big mug of hot cocoa + i!wrap, wrap wrap! It’s great quality time spent together + we get all our presents wrapped in time!”. Congratulation Heidi! An email has been sent off to you! And thank you to all who joined in with the fun this week. I think I’m going to do this again!

Every year, Sew Mama Sew has a week long giveaway, filled with many goodies from bloggers all around the world. For the first time, I’m joining in!

If you are new here, welcome! My name is Jennifer and I am the Director of Chaos Control (aka our life!). I am the mama to 8 beautiful children (you’ll find their ages and names on the left side bar) and wife to a wonderful, Godly man for almost 14 years. We also home school our children, while running a catering business out of our home. We are a busy family indeed! This is my little corner of the universe where I share things about our family, school, our business, the many ways the Lord has worked in our lives, and the various items that I am or have made (or should be making, as the case may be).

I love to make things with my hands, whether it’s in the forms of bags, home decor, quilts, clothing, dolls, … I love it all! And I am a firm believer that everybody needs a home made quilt (or two)! I have a quilting business, that I do on the side. I also enjoy working with my husband, who is a professional Chef, with our catering business. And yes, my husband has been known to spoil us a time or two with his food creations (he makes his own chocolate. Yeah, I know…!)

Without further ado, here is what I am giving away today! This is a purse made from the pattern of Artsy Crafty Babe, Nanette. The top, inside and handles are fully lined, with no inside seams to unravel. The top and handles are also made with sturdy interfacing to help keep it’s shape.

The red is cotton, while the black and white snow flakes are a cotton corduroy.
Here us a close up of the decorative stitching, which mimics the snow flakes print of the corduroy.
There is a magnetic clasp on the inside, with a pocket for your keys or other items.

I am also giving away a set of 4 Christmas coasters. These are made with white linen and Christmas themed quilting cotton. The ornaments are all different shapes, showcasing the technique of reverse applique.

As per Sew Mama Sew’s rules, this giveaway is open until December 13. I will then randomly chose a winner. I have no hoops for you to jump through, only leave me a comment telling me what your favorite part of the Christmas holiday is. That’s it! Due to shipping costs, this is for US residents only.

Now make sure you go and visit all of the other fabulous blogs that are featuring goodies of there own, too.  Some of them are handmade, like mine, while others are offering notions ( such as fabric and thread).

Thanks for visiting!

  17. I love having Christmas eve at my Mom’s each year with about 50 relatives. Great food and company! Mom is 86 and we have had this tradition as long as I can remember! It will be a sad day when we no longer can have it in her home. I hope it is a tradition that never stops!
