Well, for the first time, it’s time for school. Yes, Maacah was in kindergarten last year. But it wasn’t anything formal. This year, however, is a whole ‘nother ball game. We bought curriculum from these two different places, Mastering Mathematics and Christian Light Education. I’m really excited to use this stuff (in case I haven’t mentioned it before, I am homeschooling the children. No offense to my husband, but it’s really not “we”, it’s “me”. Although, on his off days, I wouldn’t object to it becoming a “we” thing :0) ). I think we’ll start on Wednesday, instead of waiting until after Labor Day. I’d start today if I could, but my nephews are here today and tomorrow and I’m not able to start school for the first time when they are here. They will probably be here on sick days or teacher in service days, but by then we will be established (I hope!) in our routine and I will have them work along side us.
I only have a few more things to finish before we are 100% ready to start . But it feels good. I’m not nervous or anything, not like I thought I would be. I thinks it’s because of 2 reasons: 1) I really like the materials we have and 2) I know this is the right decision for us. It may not be for other families, but it is for us.
Well, my youngest is screaming his head off at the moment so I need to sign off. Hmm, now he’s quiet. Not good. Yeah, I need to go.
