In the palm of His hand

Well, things are moving around here. You know the limbo we have been in, wondering where God wants us? At this point, we have an idea. There is a church in Rhinelander, about 45 minutes away, that we are going to “try”. I know, you don’t “try” a church like you would a piece of clothing, but I think you know what I mean. We had made the decision to go to this church during our trip to Idaho (and I’ll be posting more pics btw), but when we came back, for whatever reason we didn’t go. This last weekend there were some youth meetings put on by this church and now Adam and I are convinced that God wants us to go there for now. Who knows what will come of this. We are prepared, that if this is where God wants us to settle, then we will move to the Rhinelander area, for that makes sense. Adam works in Rhinelander and if our church is there as well, it doesn’t make much sense to stay over here in Crandon. But we shall see.

So, for my Works For Me Wednesday, be faithful in your prayers with God, follow Him and continue to ask for His leading. It will happen. Yes, it will probably be some time before you get a clear leading from Him, but it will come. Don’t give up. Don’t begin to doubt Him. You will be told what to do in His perfect timing. And when all is said and done, looking back it will make sense to you. I know it’s hard and I know the waiting can be painful. Just remember that you are waiting for a reason and open your heart, ears, eyes and mind to the things that God want to teach you.

Be faithful to God, just as He is faithful to you. That’s what works for me.* Go on over to Shannon’s and see what else people have found that works for them.

* This does work, but just like you, I need work at this. I struggle with this far more than I should. And I don’t post this as if I’m way ahead of everyone else with trusting and waiting on God. If anything, I’m way behind. I just want to share with you and possibly encourage you to keep going, to not take your eyes of Christ and to trust that you are in His hand and He will not drop you. *
